Conference about Software for Steel Service Centres

Great success for the Conference “Software for Steel Service Centres: the importance of cutting programs and cutting machines Optimization” organized at Crowne Plaza Hotel in S. Donato Milanese. Around 50 experts from 25 Italian Steel Companies have attended the conference. The attending companies ranged from smaller Steel Service Centres to big multi-national companies like: Marcegaglia, Arvedi, ThyssenKrupp AST and Gabrielli. Emilio Bertolotti, Sales Director, has presented Fast-Square company and the strategic decision to develop specific vertical software for this market. The idea of focusing on such a specific market comes from the objective of being able to build software applications that can achieve effective and fast results while minimizing total cost of ownership for the customers. An application like “Coil Cut Optimizer” (CCO) can achieve Return On Investment in few months. Gino Giannone, Fast-Square Product Manager, has presented the applications on a live data set showing the main functionalities and capabilities of CCO. CCO is a Decision Support System that can be easily integrated with companies Information System (ERPs). This conference has been appreciated by most of the participants, directly with the final questionnaire and also through the number of detailed questions during the software demonstration.

During the CCO demonstration, Gino was able to show the type of superior performance the CCO optimizer can deliver while managing all range of specific constraints that need to be taken into consideration.
