Software Products to Optimize Cutting Programs in Steel, Paper and Plastic Film Industry

FAST-SQUARE has developed software products in order to optimize production and cutting processes in the following industries: Paper, Plastic Film and Steel and Aluminium Service Centres.

COIL CUT OPTIMIZER (CCO): is a complete software for the planning of Coils Cutting Lines (slitter and cut-to-length machines). With CCO you can easily select and filter the set of Coils and Customer Orders you want to plan. CCO Optimizer generates in few seconds a set of cutting programs, that are considered “optimal” according to the customer optimization criteria. CCO software includes: optimization of slitter and combined slitter + cut-to-length cutting programs, graphic user interface in Windows and interface modules with customer’s Information System (ERP).

CCO-REPLANISHMENT: this module is used for Demand Planning and in order to generate the best Coils Supply Plan, taking into account the On-hand Coils stock, the Safety Stock and the Optimized Cutting Programs for repetitive Customer Orders.

CCO-SCHEDULING: with this module you can schedule and sequence customer Orders on the specific Cutting Machines taking into account the work-in-progress and machine availability, working shifts and customer delivery date.

CCO-CUT-TO-LENGTH is a specific optimizer for Cut-To-Length machines. This module minimizes Coils fragmentation and takes into account that some machines have also 2 external knives to trim the coil. Using this knives you can sometimes avoid the slitting phase to produce blanks with a big production cost reduction.
